Profile
Linux systems administrator with 11+ years keeping production infrastructure online under 24/7 SLAs — from single services to fleets of 200 servers and databases up to 10 TB. I own systems end to end: monitoring and incident response, CI/CD, backups, and zero-downtime migrations across the Linux stack (CentOS, Debian), Proxmox, MySQL/PostgreSQL, Zabbix, and the Atlassian ecosystem.
As comfortable firefighting a live incident as engineering the automation that prevents the next one.
Experience
Senior Systems Administrator
- Ran ~80 production servers (in-house plus client projects) under 24/7 SLAs for large enterprise and public-sector clients — a CentOS / RHEL fleet held at multi-year uptime, with downtime limited to planned-maintenance windows.
- Migrated Jira and Confluence off Atlassian Cloud to self-hosted, then into a data-centre environment, under tight deadlines — cutting recurring Atlassian licensing costs.
- Operated dozens of isolated Bitrix dev / staging environments, enabling safe parallel development and testing for client web projects.
- Built GitLab CI/CD with automatic QA-stand deployments on a Traefik + GitLab + Ansible pipeline.
- Architected client web applications (LEMP with Node.js and Redis) and kept production Java services running.
Linux Teacher
- Taught Linux fundamentals to QA engineers and developers across 2–3 cohorts — designed the curriculum spanning shell, networking, systems internals, and production troubleshooting.
- Reviewed and graded homework with individual feedback for an entire 300+ student stream.
Systems Architect @ Atlant LLC
- Built and ran the company's entire IT from scratch — infrastructure, monitoring, software updates, and feature rollouts.
- Handled incident troubleshooting, workflow design, task automation, and backup strategy.
- Deployed a corporate mail server from scratch — Postfix + Dovecot with SPF/DKIM/DMARC and an anti-spam pipeline.
Linux Systems Administrator
- Held full ownership of ~200 production servers (CentOS) serving large enterprise and public-sector systems — configuration, monitoring, documentation, capacity planning, and databases up to 10 TB.
- Sustained multi-year server uptime, with interruptions limited to planned maintenance.
- Deployed ClickHouse + ZooKeeper with full monitoring and backup — eliminating data-loss risk and raising fault tolerance.
- Built Zabbix monitoring backed by custom Python and Bash tooling, and authored an internal Python auth library that simplified script integration and cut maintenance.
- Ran production RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch, ClickHouse and Redis; optimised the on-duty Zabbix tooling for faster incident response.
Linux Systems Administrator
- Administered ~10 Debian / FreeBSD / CentOS servers under 24/7 SLA — monitoring, maintenance, and software updates.
- Managed network routing (BGP, OSPF) and active D-Link equipment, and automated routine operations.
- Ran Apache / nginx web and forum hosting, with production Zabbix, Request Tracker and ACP LanBilling.
Selected Projects
Runs a private homelab on a Raspberry Pi hub: a phone dashboard behind Cloudflare Zero Trust, plus a WireGuard hub, nftables and systemd services.
Bridges a Meshtastic (LoRa) mesh and Telegram both ways — SQLite history, a heartbeat that catches dead TCP tunnels in ~90s, and a phone battery monitor.
Two production Telegram bots — an LLM RSS pipeline (scrape, summarise, tag, illustrate; multi-provider fallback, embedding dedup) and a tabletop-RPG dice bot with a custom roll-notation parser.
Mirrors five Notion databases to a git repo every 30 minutes via a Pipedream workflow — atomic GitHub-API commits, hash-compared, so tools read files instead of the rate-limited Notion API.
Syncs ActivityWatch focus blocks into a Notion time-log database — idempotent backfill, deduplication, and scheduled runs via launchd.
Captures active app context on macOS — e.g. the Claude Desktop conversation title — via the Accessibility API, packaged as a real .app under launchd. Feeds aw-notion.
The site you are reading — a static-site generator that builds this CV from git-versioned content (Python and Jinja), self-hosted over HTTPS with private GoAccess analytics.
